FAQ

Questions, answered.

  • If you have central AC plus electric heat or are planning to add a heat pump, EV charger, induction range, or hot tub, 200A is usually the right move. Smaller homes with gas appliances are often fine on 150A. We'll do an honest load calc — we won't upsell.
  • Most residential service upgrades are completed in one day. Power is off for 4–6 hours of that window; we coordinate the utility disconnect and reconnect.
  • Both have a well-documented history of breakers failing to trip during overloads, which is a known fire risk. Most insurers now require replacement before they'll write or renew a policy.
  • Always. Our license is on the permit, our team handles inspection, and you never have to coordinate with a sub-contractor or the city.
